Firefox 20 Released with Per-window Private Browsing Feature! Install it in Ubuntu/Linux Mint

Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser developed for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux coordinated by Mozilla Corporation and Mozilla Foundation. Today Mozilla announced the release of Firefox 20.0 for all platforms including Linux, Windows and Mac OS. In this release Mozilla aims to increase User privacy and Security. Lets Look at the new features added to Firefox 20

New in Firefox 20

  • Per-window Private Browsing: This is same as Chrome's Incognito window, all you need to do is select "New Private Window" and new window will open without saving any search history, cookies, downloads or temp file.



  • New look of Download Manager which looks nicer than previous one.



  • Ability to close hanging plugins, without the browser hanging
  • New JavaScript Profiler tool
  • Continued performance improvements around common browser tasks (page loads, downloads, shutdown, etc.)

Google Releases Chrome 24 for Linux! Install it in Ubuntu/Mint

Google-chrome is a cross-platform web-browser which runs on any platform whether it is mac , linux or windows. The main reason for the popularity of google-chrome is that it runs web-page and application with lightning speed .

On 10th jan, 2013 Google has announced the release of Google Chrome 24, its latest stable version for Linux , Mac and Windows. It is believe that Chrome 24 is lot faster than its predecessor. This is the first Stable release with support for MathML. This release also contains an update to Flash (11.5.31.137) as well as improvements in speed and stability.

Opera 12.12 Released ! Install it in Ubuntu 12.04/12.10

Opera is a web browser developed by Opera Software with over 270 million users worldwide. The browser handles common Internet-related tasks such as displaying web sites, sending and receiving e-mail messages, managing contacts, chatting on IRC, downloading files via Bit Torrent and reading web feeds. Opera is offered free of charge for personal computers and mobile phones.

On December 18th , 2012 Opera software has announced the release of Opera 12.12 with more security and stability enhancements.


New in Opera 12.12

  • New option ‘Delete settings and data for all extensions’ option (off by default) in the Delete Private Data dialog.
  • Corrected an issue where using the 'Delete Private Data' dialog could delete extension and settings data.
  • Redesigned the 'Delete Private Data' dialog to be more usable with small screens.
  • Fixed an issue where quitting Opera while in fullscreen mode could cripple the interface on the next start-up.
