To install Mozilla Firefox 17 in Ubuntu open terminal (Alt + Ctrl + t) and type the following commands
Step 1: Add Firefox repository
Step 2: Update sources.list
Step 3: Install Firefox 17
That's it , you have successfully installed Firefox 17. To check Firefox version type following command on terminal

Step 1: Add Firefox repository
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-security/ppa
Step 2: Update sources.list
$ sudo apt-get update
Step 3: Install Firefox 17
$ sudo apt-get install firefox
That's it , you have successfully installed Firefox 17. To check Firefox version type following command on terminal
$ firefox -v
Mozilla Firefox 17.0
Mozilla Firefox 17.0
