To install Calibre in Ubuntu 12.10/12.04 , open terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t) and write the following commands

Step 1: Add Calibre Repository

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/calibre

Step 2: Update sources.list

$ sudo apt-get update

Step 3: Install Calibre 0.9.5

$ sudo apt-get install calibre

That's it you have successfully installed Calibre 0.9.5.
