Install GRUB Customizer 3.0 in Ubuntu 12.04/11.10/11.04/10.10

Grub Customizer, lets you Configure your boot menu entry Graphically. By using GRUB customizer you can

  • Select the default boot entry
  • Change the menu visibility
  • Timeout
  • Set kernel parameters
  • Disable recovery entries and
  • Change screen resolution

To install GRUB Customize in Ubuntu 12.04/11.10/11.04/10.10, open terminal (Alt + Ctrl + t) and write the following commands

Step 1: Add PPA

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer

Step 2: Update respository

$ sudo apt-get update

Step 3: Install GRUB Customizer

$ sudo apt-get install grub-customizer
