How to Install Xfce in Ubuntu
Ubuntu by default include Gnome desktop environment but it is easy to install any other desktop environment and Xfce is one of the option as Xfce is a lightweight desktop environment for UNIX-like operating systems. It aims to be fast and low on system resources, while still being visually appealing and user friendly.
Installing Xfce
To install Xfce open terminal and write$ sudo apt-get install xfce4
After installation logout or reboot your system and when login screen appear , under session select Xfce session and login.
Installing Xubuntu under Ubuntu
$ sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop
Note: xfce4 is the minimum, while xubuntu-desktop will come with lots of extra applets and settings. Xfce4 is faster than xubuntu.
